If You Give A Judson Some Milk

If you give Judson some milk,
He's gonna want it warmed up.
As he's watching it in the microwave,
he will see it going around and around in a circle.
This will remind him of a game,
and he'll ask you to play ring-around-the-rosey.
When the microwave beeps,
He'll want it shaken up.
After it is good and shook,
Judson will enjoy his ba-ba of milk.

Independence Day

Today Judson has declared his independence....Yes, he said that little, tiny two letter word to me--3 times even--"no, no, NO!" Of course, if you know my son, you know he also said it with a twinkle in his eye and an hornery grin on his face, but never the less, he said it. Where do we go from here? You'd think him being the 4th child I'd know exactly where we go--but I guess I have blocked it out of my memory, which is fine, I'm thoroughly enjoying him and this stage of life.

I love this age. He is so much fun! He has got personality bubbling over. He sings, he dances, he flirts, he giggles, he teases, he says "hut hut" and puts his hands up as to catch a football, he calls me "mimmy" (with a short'i'), and calls J "daa daaa", he thinks every animal is a horsey or a doggy, one of his favorite things to do is sit on top of Blakley's head when she is laying on the floor watching tv, when he wants something he sounds like Curious George talking, he says 'I Love You' which sounds like I-uuuuv-UUUU! (just precious), he loves baths, and getting into the car, he pulls Buster's hair and yesterday brushed Buster's teeth with his own toothbrush, he threw his bottle into the toilette (and yes, it did have a poopy in it--thanks sissy) and he LOVES his big brother--follows him around like a shadow. Jed gives him a controller to the playstation that is not plugged in and they sit there and "play" together, every few minutes Jed will say "good job Judson"--it makes my heart melt!

Someone was talking last night at our Community Group how they questioned if they could love the 2nd child as much as the first, I had those exact same feelings. Let me just say that YES, you can love each child just as much as the first, your capacity to love grows and grows and grows, as does your appreciatin for each stage of life. I am so loving 18 months, I just hope that I will still love and appreciate it tomorrow!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Jed did it at 3 1/2 months. Who knows when Blakley and Jadyn did it, because I: 1.)never even got a baby book for Blakley and 2.) even though I did purchase a baby book for Jadyn, never got past the guest list from her shower, so I don't have any real records of the girl's "firsts". I know I am a horrible mom when it comes to this kinda thing. So, anyway, I was thinking he was never going to do it--I mean he will be 7 months in 12 days--what was the hold up. Is it because he is the baby, my sweet, sweet boy who may possibly be my last baby? or Because I rarely let him play on the floor due to the fact that his brother and sisters love to play with pennies and marbles, therefore, I am constantly picking them up and I have a fear of him choking? Probably. Well, since being back in town after seeing my cousin's son, Noah, who is 3 days older than Judson roll and roll and roll, I figured it was time to spread his wings and let him "roll". It only took 2 days, and once he got the hang of it-he rolled and he rolled and he rolled and he rolled! It was so cute! Now I am feeling better in the mom category--now we just got to work on him sleeping all night!!! Did I mention that Jed also crawled at 7 months and walked at 9 months---we are far behind, but that is ok, because Judson is so precious and sweet and easy going--he may be 18 months before he decides to get up and walk.

Happy Half Birthday

Today is Judson's 1/2 year birthday. At 6:13 this evening he turned 6 months old. The kids and I sang to him, although, he just looked at us with his sweet eyes and sly grin like we were all nuts. Justin called around 5:45 to check up on us and I immediately assumed he was calling to wish his baby a happy 1/2 birthday, he too thought I was nuts. Grandma actually did call just to wish him a Happy 1/2 Birthday, so I am not the only one who is nuts! (So, I guess you could say that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree ?!?!) If I could learn to post pics, I would put an adorable picture of him in his "Johnny Jumper" laughing while holding his favorite ball. He has this ball with these holes all in it that he has become very attached to. It now goes everywhere with him. I have to pry it out of his hands when I am changing his clothes. He loves that thing. I actually put it in his crib last night--just within reaching distance for him---AND he slept ALL NIGHT!!! When I went in to get him this morning he had his grip on that colorful ball. So, YES, the ball is in there with him again tonight, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is his "security blanket" that will help him sleep (at least 10 hours a night!!!). Happy Birthday my sweet precious baby, Mommy loves you!
